Gemma Crisp has worked in the magazine industry for more than 12 years, starting off as a photocopying and coffee-fetching ninja while interning at British Marie Claire. Since then, she's worked at a wide variety of Australian magazines, including New Woman, Girlfriend, NW, and OK!
Q. What has been your career highlight to date?
Being lucky enough to work in this industry is a highlight for me - if you'd told the 15-year-old me that I'd get paid to work in magazines and go on to edit two iconic Australian titles, I would have thought you were a total fruit loop.
Q. Complete this sentence: "If I wasn't an Editor I'd be …
A mascara product developer. I can't leave the house without applying multiple coats of four different mascaras evey morning."
Q. What are your top three 'can't live without' beauty products?
As you'll probably guess from my previous answer, mascara is my number one (I'm probably the only editor who doesn't have lash extensions!). Due to my peroxide addiction, a heavy-duty conditioning treatment is on my must-have list, and I'm also partial to BB cream for my skin.
Q. Describe your number one fashion moment?
It was probably the first time my mum didn't dress me in the same outfit as my twin sister! That, or discovering ASOS.com - I should have shares in the company.
Q. Who do you draw style inspiration from?
Diane Kruger, Emma Stone, Frieda Pinto, Instagram, and whatever's clean on the day.
Q. Complete this sentence: 'I'd spend my last hundred dollars on…
Shoes. Definitely shoes. The higher, the better. When it comes to shoes, my motto is 'go hard or go home'.
